BILLBOARD // Dillon Francis Sticks to Moombahton Roots With ‘BaBaBa (Vete Pa’Ya) feat. Young Ash’: Listen
The release will be part of Francis’ upcoming Spanish language studio LP.
Following “Ven” and “We The Funk,” Dillon Francis offers up “BaBaBa (Vete Pa’Ya),” the third single to be released from his upcoming Spanish language studio album. The LP, which has yet to receive an exact release date, will arrive later this year on Francis’ IDGAFOS label and explores his moombahton roots.
“BaBaBa” in particular was influenced by the producer’s 2011 collab “Que Que” with Diplo. “For my album I really wanted to make a song reminiscent of ‘Que Que’, but an elevated version of it that was fun yet tough sounding,” Francis says in a press release. “Young Ash’s flow on this is exactly that. It’s truly one of my favorite tracks from the project. Her voice is so strong and striking which makes for such an incredible gritty moombahton song.”
The record comes paired with a vertical, stop-motion music video directed by Joel Strong who is known for his cardboard cutouts of celebrities in real life settings. Watch the video for Francis’ latest release with Young Ash, out today (May 9) below.

A week ago, Dillon Francis was asking fans which song he should drop next: “BaBaBa” or “Look At That Butt.” It turns out, “BaBaBa” featuring Young Ash was the winner here, as the song just dropped on Spotify with a full music video already available via YouTube.
The music video is filmed in stop motion, entirely in vertical orientation; it used a combination of paper cutouts and Young Ash and Dillon themselves, comically acting out various dance moves and silly motions. The song itself is pure, classic Dillon Francis moombahton, calling back to his styles years ago, before his debut album and tracks like “Need You.”
Dillon’s brand has become so solidified, and it’s something we love about him. We can always count on him to be fun and silly, and for his music to reflect that. Check out “BaBaBa” below!

Dillon Francis has been on a tear with Spanish infused music since the turn of the new year. Dropping “Ven”, “We The Funk” and “Sexo” thus far in 2018, he has continued to keep the world dancing and loving every second of these tracks (though many of us find ourselves on Google Translate trying to figure out what the hell the message is though it is pretty apparent in “Sexo). Over the past few weeks, Uncle Dill has been teasing another vibed out track set to drop in May. He has taken to Twitter to make announcements in recent days. Most recently he announced the release of a Moombahton track to be delivered to fans this week. Also, there was this inspirations tweet.
Dillon Francis – “BaBaBa (Vete Pa’ya)” featuring Young Ash
This morning Dillon dropped the Moombahton gold “BaBaBa” featuring Young Ash. The track brings to the spotlight everything we grew to love about Dillon, individuality, diversity, Latin flare and some rad vibes. It is a jumpy track with strong roots in Moombahton and vocals from lyricist Young Ash. The drop is equally as rad as the build and delivers a super funky feel making it the perfect track to grind on the beach to or rage at your favorite festival stage. Dillon is continuing to innovate and bring to us sounds that cannot be found through listening to other Electronic Music DJ/Producers (maybe Diplo and Deorro).
The track is accompanied by a rad music video that will have you dancing even if you listen to it with the volume off. Dillon is in for a massive 2018 and it continues to be seen through his production. Big ups Uncle.

Dillon Francis has been hyping up his new Spanish language album that is expected to be released in 2018. He has been dropping singles from it — the latest being “BaBaBa (Vete Pa’Ya).” The high-energy track integrates elaborate synth combinations with drums, shaping the background around the vocalist.
Francis decided to create a Spanish language album as his second studio album after stating he was “uninspired” and looking for something to make him excited again. Francis began production on the Spanish language LP well over three years ago as a continuation of his Diplo and Maluca collaboration, “Que Que.” 2018 has proved to be a big year for Francis as his experimentation between styles and genres continues.
